Bring on Spring Break

This week was kind of a slow week for me.  I found it hard to want to be here since next weed starts off spring break.  I did manage to learn all about satire.  This is a great way to get your point across and make it realized. 

 During spring break I plan on going down to texas to visit West Texas A&M University.  I will be attending this college in the fall. After this I plan on sitting at home and finishing my book and quote analysis. I also would like to gather up all my information on my author and start making an outline.

“Operation DD”

The social action project that I am involved in my group chose to do a project called operation DD.  My group consists of Ben, Kayla, Katelyn, and me.  For this project we are trying to focus on the people who are going out and drinking and then driving home.  We plan to start this operation that provides a public service for these specific people.  The way this works is instead of these people driving home our operation will go pick them up.  We aren’t promoting drinking but we do understand that it happens so it is a safe way to protect the person and the poeple on the road.  This project can be spread throughout the country so if we do decide to make this happen it would be good to start writing to the people we hold the power.

So far so good…

Well we all have been working on this British Author project for a couple weeks now and I dont know about everybody else but I personally don’t have enough yet.  My partner and I each have started reading our books and have goten done some quote analysis.  We are still in the process of gathering all the information on our author.  I would have to say that everything is going well for the most part.  The only thing I need to better is managing my time better.

Sports

This project is based on helping the young children in the parks.   This group wants to have people that are safety and first aid certified watch over children playing in parks so that we can cut down on the number of injuries that we are having.  I like this project because I think it is a good thing to help protect the fun that all the kids are having.   Kids should play and have fun without their parents having to worry about them getting hurt.  I propose that we start to advertise this position of safety so that someone may step up and help the children.

Do it in the Dark

This project is promoting a party in which the main focus will be on conserving energy.  The residents on this campus are trying to get people involved so that this project will make a greater difference.  This project interests me because I feel that the we use way to much energy.  If we all start to pitch in and get this cause recognized then we can severely cut down on ruining our planet.  I think that we should start thinking about all the little things that we do that we take advantage of.  If we stop and think we can save.

The first Offical Blog

I am doing my research project on Charles Dickens, i was suprized how easy it was to find so much information on him.  There is so much out there I find myself having trouble keeping track of all the stuff that I have found.  With all the information out there I am hoping that I can find out what kind of writing style that Charles Dickens favored to write in.
